2022 Conference semifinals: Doncic makes history as Mavs fall to Suns in Game 1

Heat claims important win over 76ers in Game 1

Luka Doncic had a game to remember for the Dallas Mavericks despite them losing 121-114 in their 2022 Conference semifinals opener against the Phoenix Suns on the road.

Doncic led all scorers in the game with 45 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. He had a 50% FGM and scored four three-pointers for the Mavericks in the game. The Slovenian star became the youngest player in the history of the NBA to have six playoff games with 40+ points.

The Phoenix Suns showed great quality and endeavour to emerge with the win, with DeAndre Ayton leading the scoring with 25 points and eight rebounds. Devin Booker finished the game with 23 points, nine rebounds and eight assists for the Suns.

The #1 seed in the Eastern Conference, Miami Heat, defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 106-92 in Game 1 of their 2022 Conference semifinals to lead the series.

The 76ers were without the regular season scoring leader Joel Embiid, who has been ruled out of the 2022 Conference semifinals after suffering a right orbital fracture in the win over the Toronto Raptors.

Tyler Herro led the scoring for the Heat with 25 points off the bench as Bam Adebayo scored 24 points and 12 rebounds. Jimmy Butler scored 15 points and Gabe Vincent added 10 points for the Heat. For the 76ers, Tobias Harris scored 27 points and Tyrese Maxey scored 19 points. James Harden contributed 16 points for the side, with Nigerian rookie Charles Bassey making his playoffs debut for the side.
