Senegal beat Nigeria again to win fourth CAF Beach Soccer title

Senegal continued their amazing run at the African Football Confederation (CAF) Beach Soccer 2016 tournament in Lagos to remain unbeaten and clinch their fourth title by beating hosts, Nigeria.

This is the third time Audu Adamu’s men will be losing in the competition’s final – after a failed attempt in South Africa 2006 and Morocco 2011.

Meanwhile Senegal’s Al Seyni Ndiaye was named best goalkeeper of the tournament, and Nigeria’s Emeka Ogbonna decorated as the Most Valuable Player of the championship. Babacar Fall, the amazing Egyptian, won the tournament’s topscorer’s prize with 11 goals.

Both teams , Senegal and Nigeria, will now represent Africa at the Beach Soccer World Cup in 2017 in the Bahamas.

Earlier in the 3rd place game, Egypt easily swept aside Morocco 4-1.
