5 Nigerian Celebrities who are crazy about Premier League clubs

Last year, I was at the Kibati Bankole’s celebrity fans’ show. After waiting for a while; 9ice, ID Cabasa, Reminisce, Timi Dakolo, Frank Edoho, Fred Amata, Illbliss, and Segun Arinze walked in and took their places at the celebrity’s corner just behind the panel of judges (Sam Sodje, Mathew Edafe and Still ringing).

It was more than the Chelsea-Arsenal-Manchester United battle. It was all about celebrities we all watch on TV as actors, musician and hosts showing the other sides of their personality.

5. Frank Idoho

If you are a twitter person surely you’ll know he has never hidden his love for Chelsea FC. Oga Frank knows his club oo, he surprised me on two occasions; he mentioned Chelsea players from way back before I was born and gave brief history on those guys, he also sang the Chelsea anthem…..you think you know it beyond the first line and Chorus? 0ya try it.

Sadly he lost his duel to Timi Dakolo because on two occasions they were asked to sing and couldn’t beat the singer.

4. Timi Dakolo

O boy, bros is a staunch. Days after the event I kept telling people ahn ahn, Timi own too much. He loves his club and knows why he supports Arsenal. Frank was no match for his singing prowess as he sang Arsenal’s anthem as if it was one of his ‘iyawo mi ololufe mi’ thingy.

He also showed his supriority when asked to joggle the ball. Bros got game and knows his Arsenal.

3. Segun Arinze

Ah! Mr Segun no be local Chelsea fan oo, he actually rendered Fred Amata speechless. Segun surely knows his way around West London. He described Chelsea’s location and also pointed out that Chelsea fans in UK are mannered and respected personalities.

He told us the club is located in an expensive location and among wealthy residents, which is the reason why Chelsea F.C. has the wealthiest supporters in England. Sam Sodje who grew up around the area confirmed that and my google also attested to that fact.

You know it is almost the opposite of what it is in Nigeria, most people believe Nigerian Chelsea fans are not mannered and this and that. Well, Segun explained to us that its not so in London and Fred his competitor who is an Arsenal fan attested to the fact.

Oga Segun is your typical Season ticket holder kinda Chelsea fan.

2. Reminisce

He is your typical Manchester United fan; relaxed and ready to give you whatever you want. His duel with Id Cabasa was a friendly one. He wowed the fans when he was asked to sing his clubs anthem in his native tongue and went…glooooriii Man uuuunited, gloooriii Man Utd………

He surely loves Man Utd and not ashamed to be associated with the club.

1. 9ice

He surely has the credibility and the street had no choice than to back him, 9ice shut down his opponent Ill bliss who is the opposite of what he is on the stage and he is what Timi Dakolo isn’t.

9ice gave everything he was asked, from why Chelsea is a bigger club compared to Arsenal and to why Jose Mourinho is a better coach compared to Arsene Wenger. We all clapped and even Sam Sodje was too impressed by his data-base.

9ice sabi Chelsea well, he even pointed out what he felt Jose should do to change the fortune of the team and I must say 9ice is a super Chelsea fan.
