Alberto Moreno plays down Real Madrid rumours

Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno has dismissed the speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

His agent Javier Moya is reported to have said that Moreno – a £12m signing from Sevilla in 2014 – would be “happy” to secure a move back to Spain.

The Blancos were thought to have been beaten to his signing by Liverpool, but the 23-year-old has denied knowledge of either rumour.

“I have never had anything serious with them – not me, not my brothers or representatives,” he told Spanish radio station Cadena Cope.

“I have not found out about that [Real Madrid interest], I do not know whether that is true.” He is contracted to the Anfield side until 2019.
