Europe-bound Etebo free to join any club – LMC declare

The League Management Company (LMC) have swayed in the Etebo/Warri Wolves contract issue by declaring that, the Europe-bound Nigeria U23 star Oghenekaro Etebo does not have a contract with Warri Wolves and he is therefore a free player.
“Etebo’s contract with Wolves ended on January 10 and so he is a free player,” disclosed a top official of the LMC.
This is will not go down well with the Wolves officials, as they remain adamant that the player still has a contract with them and any transfer negotiations have to be done through them.
It was on this stance that they slammed a $2 million on the player.
Attacking midfielder Etebo joined hometown club Wolves in the 2013 season from Lord Honour FC.
The 20-year-old star, whose idol is Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, inspired Nigeria to win the U23 AFCON in Senegal in December, when he scored twice in the final against Algeria.
His exploits at the tournament earned him the CAF Most Promising Player in 2015.
