Matchday 18 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) produced exciting games across different centres, with teams battling hard for important points as the season continues.

At the Remo Stars Stadium, Bendel Insurance recorded an impressive away win, defeating Remo Stars FC 3–2 in a closely fought match. In Enugu, Rangers International maintained their strong home form with a 2–1 victory over Ikorodu City FC.

In Kano, Kano Pillars were held to a 1–1 draw by Plateau United, while Abia Warriors FC claimed a narrow 1–0 win against Warri Wolves FC.

Fans at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan were treated to a hard-fought contest as Shooting Stars SC edged Niger Tornadoes 2–1. In Bauchi, Wikki Tourists FC and Kun Khalifat FC shared the points after playing out a goalless draw.

Kwara United FC boosted their position on the league table with a comfortable 2–0 home win over Bayelsa United in Ilorin. One of the standout matches of the weekend took place in Maiduguri, where El Kanemi Warriors defeated Enyimba FC 3–2 in an entertaining five-goal thriller.

Matchday 18 will be concluded early next week. Katsina United will host Rivers United on Monday, 22 December, while Nasarawa United will take on Barau FC on Tuesday.
