Falconets beat Robo Queens ahead of Senegal Clash
Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team, the Falconets, recorded a win over domestic side Robo Queens in a friendly match as preparations continue for their FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying tie against Senegal.
The match forms part of the team’s build up to the third round of the qualifiers, where Nigeria will face Senegal over two legs. The first leg is scheduled for 7 February 2026 in Abeokuta, following a change of venue from Ibadan.
The Falconets progressed to this stage after defeating Rwanda 5–0 on aggregate in the second round of the qualifiers.
Head coach Moses Aduku has used recent training sessions and friendly matches to improve the falconet’s fitness, coordination, and organisation ahead of the Senegal tie.
The team is expected to continue preparations in Abeokuta before hosting Senegal in the first leg of the tie as they push for qualification to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
