Taylor Fritz faces big Decision as Knee Injury persists

Taylor Fritz is approaching an important point in his season, with the Miami Open likely to determine whether he continues playing or takes a break to fully recover from a lingering knee injury.

The American has been dealing with knee tendinitis for months, an issue that has fluctuated in severity and affected his consistency on court.

“I’m still managing my knee. Some days it’s better than others,” Fritz admitted.

The injury, which started as manageable post-match discomfort, has gradually worsened and has now impacted his movement and even his ability to load his leg during serves properly.

Fritz revealed that a decision has already been outlined:

“After Miami, if we’re not seeing big improvements, it might be time to slow down and get it healed 100 percent.”

His performances over the past months reflect the struggle. Despite a good run to the fourth round at the Australian Open and a final appearance in Dallas, he has found it difficult to maintain momentum across tournaments.
