Five clubs interested in Taiwo Awoniyi who is ready to quit Liverpool

Five clubs are ready to sign Nigeria U-23 striker Taiwo Awoniyi from Liverpool on permanent deal.

Taiwo Awoniyi is yet to play a game for Liverpool since he joined in the summer of 2015. He has been shipped out on loan on five different occasions because he hasn’t been granted his British work permit.

Awoniyi who recently revealed that he still has hopes of playing for Liverpool in the Premier League is reportedly ready to leave the Anfield side.

According to Belgian outlet DH Taiwo Awoniyi will ‘certainly’ leave Anfield if he fails to gain a work permit in the coming months.

The outlet also reported that the Nigerian striker is not short of suitors as the top five clubs in the Belgian Pro League are interested in signing him.

Liverpool Echo quoted the sum of 15 million euros (ÂŁ12.9m) as his price tag but DH believes the Belgian clubs interested in him will look to sign him in a cut price deal.

Apart from the top five clubs in Belgian league which include Anderlecht, Club Brugge, French clubs; FC Metz, Nice, Toulouse, and German clubs; Mainz 05, Schalke had previously shown interest in the Nigerian striker.
