Super Falcons defender Glory Ogbonna reveals FIFA Womens World Cup title dreams.

Nigeria Super Falcons Defender Glory Ogbonna is looking beyond a 10th Womens Africa Cup of Nations title as she dreams of winning the 2023 FIFA Womens World Cup title.

 

Glory Ogbonna who stars for Spanish side Santa Teresa is part of the Super Falcons squad to the ongoing WAFCON in Morroco and was on the Matchday squad for the Quater Final 1-0 win over Cameroon which sealed World Cup Qualification for Nigeria .

In a chat with the News Agency of Nigeria – NAN Glory Ogbonna expressed optimism the Super Falcons can win a record extending 10th WAFCON title in Morroco to maintain their status as a dominant force in African Football before a push for the World cup title in 2023 .

 

She said ” We want to win the WAFCON title the trophy (WAFCON) for a record 10th time to remain a dominant force in African Women football .

 

” Beyond Africa , we are also looking at winning the FIFA Womens World Cup ” the former Ibom Angels Fc Defender concluded.

 

Nigeria will face hosts Morroco in the Semi Final of the Womens Africa Cup of Nations tournament today Monday 18th July 2022 by 9pm (Nigerian Time ) for a place in the final .

 

South Africa will take on Zambia in the other Semi Final game by 6pm .
