Brighton new Stadium to transform women’s Matchday experience
Brighton & Hove Albion Women have unveiled plans for a new stadium designed specifically for women’s football, with the aim of creating a unique and enjoyable matchday experience.
The proposed venue will hold around 10,000 fans and be built next to the Amex Stadium. If approved, the club expects it to open by the 2030–31 season.
Club owner Tony Bloom is set to fund the project, which is expected to cost about £80 million. The stadium would be one of the first purpose-built venues for a women’s team outside the United States.
Brighton say the idea is to create more than just a place to watch football. The concept focuses on a full matchday experience, especially for families, with features designed to make the environment more welcoming and accessible.
Chief executive Paul Barber explained that the stadium will be designed with a different approach, looking at everything from facilities to fan experience through a more inclusive lens.
The club hopes the new ground will help grow support for the women’s team, create a stronger atmosphere on matchdays, and position Brighton as a leading force in women’s football.
