Slavia Prague reveal plans to help Yira Sor return to his form before injury
Slavia Prague head coach, Jindřich Trpišovský has revealed his plan to help Nigerian striker Yira Collins Sor return to his form before his injury.
Yira Sor was one of the best young strikers in Europe before picking up an injury in July. He scored 6 goals in 6 Europa Conference league games last season.
As he and Slavia Prague for the new season, he picked up an injury that put him on the sideline for months until last night.
He had 15 minutes cameo as Slavia Prague trashed Liberec on Sunday and his coach has plans to help him get back to full fitness.
“Yira is in training mode with the team. Basically, the only thing is a bigger fitness deficit, we now had a recommendation from the physiotherapists that he should not start from the beginning and only play part of the match.
“We want to gradually increase his minutes, during the rep break he had an individual program due to lack of fitness. We want to gradually increase the load on him, he completes training sessions without restrictions, on the contrary, he has them more intensively than other players. Now it was such a swallow, he should get more space on Thursday.”
Yira Sor will be in action this Thursday as Slavia Prague play a UECL game against CFR Cluj
