2023 NBA Finals Game 4: Jokic sends Nuggets to brink of history

Nikola Jokic was instrumental once more as the Denver Nuggets claimed a 108-95 win over the Miami Heat in Game 4 of the 2023 NBA Finals to go 3-1 up in the series and one win away from the NBA title.

After their impressive Game 3 win in Miami, the Nuggets were looking to complete their road win in the fourth game of the series at the FTX Arena in Miami.

Like in Game 3, both sides were evenly matched for most parts of the first quarter, with the Heat going in with a one-point lead by the end of the quarter. The Nuggets, however, took over from the second quarter, dominating the remainder of the game to emerge with a comfortable win.

Aaron Gordon led the scoring for the Nuggets with 27 points and Jokic contributed 23 points and 12 rebounds in the game. Bruce Brown Jr scored 21 points for the Nuggets, as well.

Jimmy Butler scored 25 points for the Heat and Bam Adebayo contributed 20 points and 11 rebounds in the game.

The series continues on Tuesday in Denver with the Nuggets hopeful of closing it out on home court and securing a first-ever NBA Championship.
