Ahmed Musa Calls for Nationwide Support as Super Eagles Seek Crucial Win Against Rwanda

Ahmed Musa believes that a win for the Super Eagles against Rwanda will be a key turning point in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign. The Nigerian national team has struggled so far in Group C, remaining winless after four matches with three draws and one defeat.

Ahead of the critical match against Rwanda on March 21, 2025, at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, Musa stressed the importance of securing all three points. Speaking to reporters in Ilorin before his Kano Pillars team’s league clash with Kwara United, the former Leicester City player emphasized that the game is vital for the Super Eagles.

“The important game is Rwanda,” Musa said. “If we can get the three points from that match, it will be a turning point for us. But it’s not just the Super Eagles’ job alone. Every Nigerian must be involved because we need their support.”

The Super Eagles will return home to face Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo just four days after the Rwanda match, and Musa is hoping for a wave of national backing to push the team forward.
