AKFA Cup: FC Rockets face Regnant Academy challenge

Nigeria National League side FC ONE Rockets will on Monday March 13, 2023 face the challenge of Regnant Football Academy in their bid to reach the Semi-final of the 2023 Akwa Ibom State FA Cup.

The game will take place at the Practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo with kick-off by 4pm.

The 2023 Akwa Ibom State FA Cup got off to a thrilling start when Dakkada Football Club battled to a 2-1 win over Vandrezzer Academy on Friday March 10, 2023 at the Practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium Uyo.

FC ONE Rockets and Regnant FC will battle for a Semi-final place vs Vandrezzer FC who were drawn bye for the first round.

The game will be Regnant FC’s Akwa Ibom State FA Cup debut, and In the spirit of the challenge cup , the youngsters will attempt to upset their more illustrious opponents to reach the last-4.

For the Rockets, it will be another day to keep up with their record of at least reaching the last-4 of the Akwa Ibom State Federation Cup since inception, the Indomitables required a Last-gasp winner to defeat Immortality FC at this stage of the competition in 2022.

Coach Ndubuisi Ndah tutored Rockets will come into this AKFA Cup clash high in confidence following their 2-1 win over Warri Wolves in the opening game of the 2022/2023 Nigeria National League season.
