Akinkunmi Amoo joins Paul Mukairu at F.C. Copenhagen

Former Golden Eaglet star Akinkunmi Amoo has reportedly linked up with another Nigerian player at Danish club F.C Copenhagen.

Three days ago, Paul Mukairu joined Copenhagen from Antalyaspor where he played 53 games scoring eight goals.

The Nigerian who is primarily a winger, can play both on the right and left flanks, and as a central striker.

Akinkunmi is also said to have joined the Danish club from his Swedish club Hammarby IF Fotbollförening.

The Swedish club reportedly turned down a big bid from Copenhagen but according to reports, Amoo has now signed with Copenhagen.

There are no official confirmation yet from the selling or buying club or Akinkunmi Amoo who himself denied the move few days ago with a statement released on his page.

Dear Bajen,

I have read a malicious story and I am disappointed in the sponsored story. My commitment level to Hammarby since the first day I arrived at this club has been 100%. My journey from Nigeria to Stockholm was a tedious experience. The journey took over 48 hours.

First, my flight from Nigeria was rescheduled, I was at the airport ready to fly when the flight was postponed to the next day, and I was not happy. On arrival in Istanbul, we had another long hours delay, which I slept over at the airport with discomfort.

When I arrived in Stockholm, I joined the team’s training. I was not mentally ready to train immediately because of the stress I passed through flying for two days. I had a discussion with the coach and staff to give me a day off to recover from the jetlag. The coach understood.

I have been discussing with the coach when I was in Nigeria and we had an understanding and relationship. I am in Stockholm and ready to go.

I am not satisfied with the story, because the content was misleading and sponsored. It’s unfair against my commitment to the club.

My commitment as a professional can’t be quantified and I will always give my best in any condition and anywhere I found myself.
