In the current season, Akwa United FC have recorded a defeat and draw in two league games while Enyimba FC who occupy bottom spot on the log have played only one game, a 2-0 loss at Gombe United FC, last weekend..

In Enyimba’s last 10 encounters against Akwa United FC, dating from 2014, they have recorded six wins and four draws, the Promise Keepers aside the Daga challenge will be looking to halt a winless streak in Aba.

This season, Enyimba FC had their Nigeria Premier Football League matchday one game vs Bendel Insurance FC rescheduled due to the Benin Arsenal’s continental engagement that weekend.

In week two, Coach Finidi George tutored Enyimba FC fell 2-0 in Gombe to slump to 20th place on the standings, an unfamiliar position for the current Nigerian Champions, who have a new management team headed by former Nigeria National Team skipper, Nwankwo Kanu.
