Arokodare Awaits Fresh Start as Erik Ten Hag Linked with Wolves Job

Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare could benefit from a managerial change at Wolverhampton Wanderers, as former Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag has been linked with the club’s head coach position amid growing pressure on current manager Vitor Pereira.
Wolves have had a poor start to the Premier League season, collecting only two points from nine games and sitting bottom of the table. The team has lost seven matches already, and Pereira’s job is hanging by a thread. A loss to Fulham this weekend could see him sacked.
Ten Hag has now emerged as a strong contender to replace him. The Dutch tactician was recently dismissed by Bayer Leverkusen after a short and troubled spell, and he is said to be open to a Premier League return.
For Arokodare, who joined Wolves in the summer from Belgian side Genk for €26 million, a new coach could provide the opportunity he has been waiting for. The 24-year-old forward has struggled for minutes under Pereira, with most of his appearances coming from the bench.
At Genk, Arokodare was known for his strength, aerial ability, and goal-scoring instinct, but he has yet to replicate that form in England. Wolves’ attacking struggles have made it difficult for him to make an impact, as the team has managed only a handful of goals all season.
If Ten Hag takes over, Arokodare could get a fresh chance to prove himself. The Dutch coach is known for his attacking football philosophy and for giving young players opportunities — traits that could help the Nigerian regain confidence and form.
As Wolves continue to fight for survival in the Premier League, both Arokodare and the club will be hoping that a change in the dugout sparks a turnaround in fortunes.
