Arsenal desperate to beat Tottenham to Victor Osimhen signing

Arsenal are reportedly doing everything to get one over their North London rivals Tottenham in the chase for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.

The London club who currently has one major striker in captain Alexandre Lacazette and an up-and-coming striker in Eddie Nketiah are out to get a proper striker.

To make the matter worst for Arsenal, after the loss of former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah could be leaving the club at the end of the season after their contracts expire.

Meaning Arsenal will only have their academy graduate Folarin Balogun as the only striker left in the squad, hence, the need for a striker this summer.

Arsenal were seriously chasing Dusan Vlahovic but the Serbian rejected the London club and moved to Juventus from Fiorentina instead.

They have also been linked with a move for Swedish and Real Betis striker Alexander Isak and now according to Mirror, they have switched their focus to Victor Osimhen.

It will take breaking Arsenal and African transfer record to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

Tottenham have also been linked with a move for the Nigerian striker, Jose Mourinho was a big admirer while at the London club and Antonio Conte is also said to want the former Lille striker
