NBA Round Up: McCollum wins it late for Trail Blazers, Harden drops double-double in Rockets’ win

The Portland Trail Blazers claimed revenge over the Dallas Mavericks thanks to C.J. McCollum’s last-second shot, while James Harden lifted the Houston Rockets.

McCollum made a floater with 0.3 seconds remaining to give the Trail Blazers a 114-113 win in NBA action on Tuesday.

The Mavericks won by four points on Friday and they were closing in on another victory when Dirk Nowitzki hit a go-ahead three-pointer with three seconds left to play.

But shooting guard McCollum had the final say as he finished with 32 points for the Trail Blazers, who led by as many as 12 points with just over seven minutes remaining.

All-Star Harden’s double-double guided the Rockets past the Orlando Magic 128-104.

Harden posted 25 points and 13 assists as the Rockets withstood a late rally from the visiting Magic in Houston.

Serge Ibaka’s 28 points led the Magic, who lost for the 10th time in 13 games.

Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets snapped a seven-game losing streak after edging the Brooklyn Nets 111-107.
