NBA Round Up: Green triple-double inspires Warriors, Spurs down Pistons
Draymond Green starred as the Golden State Warriors downed the Memphis Grizzlies, while the San Antonio Spurs were too good for the Detroit Pistons.
Green posted a triple-double to lead the Warriors to a 122-10 win at the Grizzlies in NBA action on Friday.
Kawhi Leonard was at his usual best as the Spurs beat the Pistons 103-92.
The Miami Heat, meanwhile, extended their winning streak to 13 games.
GREEN WITH AN UNCOMMON TRIPLE-DOUBLE
Despite scoring just four points, Green put up 12 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 steals as he became the first player in NBA history to register a triple-double with fewer than 10 points recorded. He also had five blocked shots to become the first player ever with at least 10 steals and five blocks in the same game.
All-Star team-mate Klay Thompson top-scored 36 points and Kevin Durant added 24.
The Grizzlies were led by Mike Conley’s 20 points.
SPURS DOMINATE FIRST HALF
The Spurs led 60-41 at half-time as they accounted for the Pistons in Detroit.
Leonard had 32 points for the triumphant Spurs on the road.
HEAT SIZZLE TO STAY HOT
The Heat downed the Brooklyn Nets 108-99.
James Johnson posted a season-high 26 points as the Heat won again.

JOKIC HAS CAREER NIGHT, BULLS LOSE
Nikola Jokic scored 40 points in the Denver Nuggets’ 131-123 victory against the New York Knicks, the Phoenix Suns trumped the Chicago Bulls 115-9 and the Los Angeles Lakers outlasted the Milwaukee Bucks 122-114.
The Washington Wizards were 112-107 winners over the Indiana Pacers, the Minnesota Timberwolves lost 122-106 to the New Orleans Pelicans, while the Sacramento Kings edged the Atlanta Hawks 108-107.
DURANT AND WESTBROOK REUNITE
Former team-mates Durant and Russell Westbrook will lock horns when the Warriors travel to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday.
