Blessed Stars Football Academy concludes screening tournament in Jos, prepares for final selection in Uyo

Blessed Stars Football Academy have successfully wrapped up its four-day scouting tournament in Jos, Plateau State, as part of its extensive talent search for the year 2025.

In a social media post shared on Monday, January 13, 2025, the Academy revealed:
“As part of our preparations for the year 2025, we took our scouting tools to Jos, Plateau State. Over 16 teams and 268 players turned up for the four-day-long scouting tournament. Identified talents will join others picked from Lafia and Oron for the final screening, which begins in Uyo from January 17, 2025. Join Us .”

The Jos tournament is one of several regional scouting initiatives aimed at unearthing footballing gems from across Nigeria. Talented players identified during the event will proceed to the final selection process in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where the Academy will finalise its team for the year.

Speaking to SportsRation, the management of Blessed Stars Football Academy emphasised its commitment to making significant strides in 2025, explaining the massive investments in scouting talent across Nigeria.

“Blessed Stars Football Academy is focused on achieving remarkable milestones this year, and our extensive talent search reflects this ambition. We are determined to discover and nurture the next generation of football stars from every corner of Nigeria,” the statement read.

The Academy, known for its strong track record in player development, has produced several players for Nigeria’s national teams and many others plying their trade for top clubs within and outside Nigeria. Notable alumni include Charles Etim, who represented Nigeria at the U-17 and U-20 levels, and Peter Asuquo, who starred for the U-17 team.
