CAF appoints Amunike on Technical Study Group for U17 AFCON
The profile of coach Emmanuel Amunike has continued to rise after he was appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on their Technical Study Group for the forthcoming U17 AFCON in Tanzania.
The U17 AFCON kicks off April 14 in Dar es Salaam with hosts Tanzania taking on the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria.
The former Barcelona winger was also on the CAF study group to the recent U20 AFCON in Niger after he also worked on the FIFA Technical Study Group at last year’s World Cup in Russia.
Recently, Amunike qualified Tanzania to their first AFCON since 1980.
The former Nigeria star led Nigeria to win a record fifth FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile with a team that boasted the likes of Kelechi Nwakali, Samuel Chukwueze, Victor Osimhen, who have since been capped at full international level by the Super Eagles.
