Chelsea announce Chinonso Chibueze’s transfer
Chelsea FC have announced that young forward Chinonso Chibueze has left the club to join Championship side Stoke City. SportsRation reports.
The Premier League club announced the transfer in a statement on their website on Friday, July 5, 2024.
“Chinonso Chibueze has left Chelsea and completed a move to Championship club Stoke City. Good luck for the future, Chi Chi,” Chelsea’s statement read.
Chibueze joined Chelsea’s youth setup as an Under-10 from Fulham. The 18-year-old progressed through the ranks at Cobham and made his Under-18 debut during the 2021/22 season.
Chinonso, born on January 28, 2006, and currently 18 years old, has had a promising journey in football since signing with Chelsea as an Under-10 from Fulham. He progressed through the age groups at Cobham, the club’s training ground, and made his Under-18s debut during the 2021/22 season.
During the 2022/23 campaign, Chinonso continued to make further appearances for the Under-18s. One notable performance was a two-goal outing in a 9-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion. His consistent development and impressive performances at the youth level highlight his potential and the promising future he has in football.
