Chelsea Sign Shirt Deal with Dubai’s DAMAC Properties
Chelsea Football Club have ended their 50-game run without a front-of-shirt sponsor by signing a new short-term deal with Dubai-based DAMAC Properties.
The luxury real estate company’s logo will now appear on the men’s and women’s team shirts for the rest of the 2024/25 season. This includes Chelsea’s final four Premier League matches and their remaining Europa Conference League games, starting with Thursday’s semi-final clash against Djurgarden.
Although financial details of the deal have not been shared, reports from the Daily Mail describe it as a “healthy” agreement. The partnership is closely linked to DAMAC’s new £1 billion development in Dubai — the “Chelsea Residences” — a seafront property project featuring over 1,400 units. Residents will have access to Chelsea-branded gyms, wellness services, and concierge support.
In a joint statement, Chelsea and DAMAC said the deal is more than just a sponsorship. It marks the launch of the world’s first Chelsea FC-branded residential project, showcasing the club’s style and values in a luxury setting.
“Chelsea Residences by DAMAC will reflect the best of Chelsea Football Club – from top-quality design and services to our long-term vision for success,” the statement read.
This marks a fresh chapter for Chelsea, whose last major shirt sponsor, telecoms company Three, ended their £120 million deal in 2023 during the fallout from sanctions placed on former owner Roman Abramovich. A temporary deal with Infinite Athlete followed, but the club had been searching for a stable partner ever since.
Chelsea’s owners, Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, are said to be in talks with other firms ahead of next season. The club is exploring sponsorship options for the 2025 Club World Cup in the U.S., as well as longer-term shirt deals. According to reports, Chelsea are not only looking for financial backing but also strategic partners that align with their global ambitions.
DAMAC’s arrival could signal the beginning of a new era at Stamford Bridge, both on and off the pitch.
