Confirmed: Eight Teams Set for NNL Super Eight Playoff
The eight teams that will compete in the 2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight playoff have now been confirmed.
Osun United secured their place after a 3-1 win over FirstBank in their final game of the regular season at the Lanreleke Sports Complex, Ile-Ogbo, on Saturday. The victory saw Osun United finish second in Group B with 36 points from 20 matches. They join Group B winners Kun Khalifat FC in the playoff.
The other teams that have booked their spots are Wikki Tourists, Doma United, Yobe Desert Stars, Barau FC, Warri Wolves, and Crown FC.
In this list, only Osun United, Crown FC and Barau FC will be eyeing a first shot at the Nigeria Premier Football League. The other five have been there before and so will look forward to making a return to the Premier division.
These eight teams will battle for promotion, with four places available in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
