Cristiano Ronaldo Unhappy with Zinedine Zidane’s Tactics

The forward cut an uncomfortable figure as Los Blancos beat Espanyol 2-0 on Sunday.

Isco netted both goals for Madrid, with Ronaldo assisting the first, giving him his 200th career assist.

But the Portuguese attacker is reportedly unhappy with the formation being used by boss Zidane.

According to Don Balon, Ronaldo prefers the club playing a 4-3-3 formation, stating he is not involved as much when ‘Zizou’ opts to change the tactics of the Champions League holders.

The 32-year-old wants to play out wide on the left, where he feels more dangerous.

He is too close to playing centre forward in a 4-4-2 setup and looks uncomfortable during games.

Zidane has had to adapt and change his style due to the recent injuries of Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale, the two individuals who would accompany Ronaldo in an attacking trio.

Isco and Marco Asensio have filled in for the sidelined pair, in more central roles.

This isn’t the first time Ronaldo has voiced his concerns recently.

In midweek, it was claimed the former Manchester United man wanted Madrid president Florentino Perez to pay his tax fine in full, if he is found guilty of fraud.

Madrid have struggled so far this season and currently find themselves seven points behind league leaders Barcelona.
