Cristiano Ronaldo vows to continue goal-scoring streak after finishing as top-scorer in 2023

Al Nassr’s Cristiano Ronaldo has pledged to maintain his prolific goal-scoring form after an extraordinary 2023 season for both his club and the Portuguese national team.

Fresh from scoring 54 goals in the calendar year to finish as top-scorer in the year 2023, the legendary Portuguese forward expressed his determination to keep finding the back of the net.

In a EuroFoot video posted on X.com, Ronaldo discussed his historic goal-scoring achievements and declared, “I will continue. I feel good. I feel happy. Next year I’ll try and do it again.”

Despite questions about his age and critics challenging his ability to perform at the highest level, Ronaldo remains resolute in defying expectations with the year 2024 presenting opportunity to compete at the European Championship.

Ronaldo’s remarkable 2023 included scoring 20 goals and providing nine assists in the Saudi Pro League for Al Nassr, following his surprising move to Saudi Arabia in January.

This decision came after a turbulent departure from Manchester United.

Additionally, Ronaldo contributed 10 goals for Portugal during the year, resulting in a total of 54 goals and making him the top scorer globally for the calendar year.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner also commended the growth of the Saudi Pro League, highlighting its unexpected development.

With the Pro League set for a prolonged break, Ronaldo aims to replicate his goal-scoring exploits when Al Nassr returns to action in February 2024.

As he continues to defy age and expectations, Ronaldo looks to further solidify his legacy as one of the greatest goal scorers in the history of football.
