Cyriel Dessers close to Rangers move

Nigerian International Cyriel Dessers move from Cremonese to Glasgow Rangers is close to completion, SportsRation reports.

Cyriel Dessers joined Cremonese from Belgium side Genk during the 2022 summer and is heading out after just one season.

Cremonese suffered relegation from the Italian Serie A at the end of the 2022/2023 season, so will be campaigning in Serie B next season.

In search of top-flight football for the 2023/2024 season, according to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Dessers is heading to Scotland where he will join Glasgow Rangers.

Cremonese and Glasgow Rangers have agreed on a fee, and they need to draft the documents before the transfer happens, reasons Fabrizio Romano tags the deal as ‘ almost done ‘.

A successful home in the past for Cyriel Dessers’s compatriots Joe Aribo, Calvin Bassey and Leon Balogun, Rangers will offer the forward another shot at European Football.

In the 2021/2022 season, the Super emerged as UEFA Europa Conference League top scorer while firing Feyenord to the finals where they lost to Jose Mourinho tutored AS Roma.

Italian Serie A side Torino were reported with interest for Cyriel Dessers whose first choice was another Italy stay but with minimal Serie A interest, the forward is heading to Scotland.
