Diego Godin loses several teeth after clash with Neto in Atletico’s win against Valencia

Diego Godin was forced to be substituted early in the second half of Atletico Madrid’s clash with Valencia after the Uruguayan appeared to lose several teeth in a gruesome collision with Neto.

The Brazilian goalkeeper came to collect an aerial ball and his arm collided with the defender’s face, he then bled from the mouth significantly with the fans unsure what exactly had happened.

It was only those watching on monitors who could tell the full nature of the injury, the slow motion replay capturing the exact moment when the teeth were dislodged.

It was a further setback for Diego Simeone with the Argentine coach having already lost Stefan Savic to injury during the first half.
