Enyimba beat Rivers United to Joseph Atule signing

Enyimba have completed the signing of highly-rated winger Joseph Atule on a free transfer following his exit from Lobi Stars on an initial one-year deal.

The reigning NPFL champions entered the race for the winger, who dazzled for the Makurdi-based club during the NPFL23 campaign, leading them to the Super Six playoffs. He also shone brightly for the side in the Naija Super 8 tournament.

For his performances for Lobi Stars, Atule received offers from Rivers United and was close to joining Katsina United. He also had offers from clubs abroad but the intervention of new Enyimba administrator Kanu Nwankwo was enough to sway the winger to pitch his tent with the People’s Elephant in Aba.

Atule will take to the pitch with the rest of his new teammates when the Nigerian champions take on Libyan outfit Al-Ahli Benghazi in their CAF Champions League qualification round later this month. The exciting winger has signed for the next 12 months and will keep fans at the Oriental City spellbound with his dazzling skills.
