Erik ten Hag Sacked as Bayer Leverkusen Coach After Just Three Games

Erik ten Hag has been sacked as Bayer Leverkusen manager after only three competitive matches in charge.

According to reports from Fabrizio Romano and Sky Germany, the Bundesliga club decided to part ways with the Dutch coach following a poor start to the season.

Leverkusen managed just one point from their opening two league games. They lost 2-1 to Hoffenheim on the opening day, then drew 3-3 with Werder Bremen after giving away a two-goal lead, even though they had a man advantage for the last 30 minutes.

Ten Hag, who signed a two-year deal in the summer to replace Xabi Alonso, now leaves the club after less than a month in charge.

Leverkusen will begin the search for another new head coach as they aim to get their season back on track.
