Former Nigeria U-20 star diagnosed with heart condition terminates contract with Scottish Club

Former Nigeria U-20 star Nnamdi Ofoborh has by mutual consent terminated his contract with Scottish Club Glasgow Rangers, the club announced.
This happened on Thursday August 24 via statement on the clubs official website.
No reason was given for the termination, but it may not be unconnected to a reported heart condition which the former Flying Eagles of Nigeria midfielder was diagnosed with shortly after he joined the club from Bournemouth in 2021.
Ofoborh who joined Glasgow Rangers at the start of 2021-22 season has opted to pursue a career elsewhere.
“Everyone at Rangers wishes Nnamdi all the very best of luck for the future.” the statement by the Scottish League side read.
During his time at Rangers, Ofoborh has been a bit part squad member due to health concerns and so will pursue a fresh start elsewhere.
Ofoborh was a member of Nigeria‘s Flying Eagles squad to the U-20 World Cup in Poland in 2019.
The midfielder made three appearances at the U-20 tournament, marking his debut as a substitute in a 4–0 win over Qatar in their opening group game.
