Ghana Star, Andre Ayew wins Goal-of-the-Month Award

The Hammers may be struggling this season but some of their players are pulling their weight; one of whom is Andre Ayew whose spectacular strike at Crystal Palace has been named as West Ham United’s Goal of the Month for October.

The 27-year-old picked up the ball — twisting and turning, and evaded several defenders before blasting the ball into the net as the two side’s shared the spoils.

The stunning strike by Ayew is also on the shortlist for the Premier League’s October Goal of the Month.

Through voting by fans, Ayew’s goal has been named West Ham’s best finish in October, earning 39% of the vote.

In the second place, with 26%, was Chicharito’s goal from the same match, against Palace, while Amber Stobbs’ excellent long-range effort for the Ladies versus QPR came third with 16%
