Hakimi Praises PSG Attackers After Win Over Arsenal
Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi has praised his attacking teammates Ousmane Dembélé, Gonçalo Ramos, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Désiré Doué after their 1-0 win over Arsenal in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final on Tuesday.
The Moroccan right-back said the attackers give energy and confidence to the wing-backs, helping the whole team to push forward together.
Dembélé scored the only goal in the first half to give PSG a narrow victory at the Emirates Stadium.
Speaking to CBS Sports Golazo after the match, Hakimi said:
“Yes, the coach tells us that we are all attackers and all defenders. So when you see players like Ousmane, Doué, Kvara or Gonçalo working hard like defenders, it gives us the power to join the attack as well. It shows we are strong together.”
PSG will host Arsenal in the second leg next Wednesday in Paris.
Before that, the French champions will face Strasbourg in Ligue 1 this weekend, while Arsenal will play Bournemouth at home in the Premier League on Saturday.
