Morocco replace Guinea for 2025 edition

The Nigeria/Benin Republic 2027 AFCON Hosting Bid suffered heartbreak as CAF announced the joint bid by Kenya/Uganda/Tanzania as winners of the race.

The Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the news today, September 27, in Cairo, Egypt.

The joint bid by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania was in competition with Nigeria/Benin Republic, Senegal and Botswana for hosting rights of the host of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

CAF has okayed the three nation bid from East Africa for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

Also, CAF announced that Morocco will replace Guinea as 2025 AFCON hosts, after it stripped Guinea of the hosting rights due to unsatisfactory preparation.
