Ikorodu City, Sporting Lagos Share Points In Goalless Draw

Ikorodu City and Sporting Lagos played out a goalless draw in their rescheduled EUROMATCH-NPFL fixture on Wednesday.

The match was originally scheduled for September 6 but was postponed, with both teams returning to action hoping to secure all three points.

The game was closely contested, with both sides battling for possession and trying to create chances.

Ikorodu City picked up several yellow cards as the match became more physical. Sporting Lagos also faced a tough challenge from their fellow Lagos side as the intensity increased.

At one stage, both teams were reduced to 10 players, making the game even more difficult for the two sides.

Ikorodu City had some attacking moments but struggled to create clear chances. Their striker also had a frustrating outing as he failed to make clean contact with the ball on a number of occasions.

Despite the physical nature of the match and several interruptions, both teams continued to push for a breakthrough.

However, neither side could find the winning goal before the final whistle.

The 0-0 result means Ikorodu City and Sporting Lagos both picked up a point from the rescheduled fixture as they turn their attention to their next EUROMATCH-NPFL matches.
