Inter & top European clubs battling for Mikel signature, Ola Shittu reveals

Chelsea 29-year-old midfielder John Obi Mikel looks almost certain to be on his way out from Stamford Bridge after his agent confirmed talks with Inter Milan and hosts of top clubs from Europe.

The Nigerian midfielder has failed to find his spot under Antonio  Conte and 29-year-old star could be seeking a new club in January to return his career back on tracks and play first-team football.

‘It is very likely that Obi Mikel will leave Chelsea in January,’ John Shittu told The Sun.

‘There are many clubs who are interested in his services so let’s see how it goes. In the past, we did have some discussions with Inter Milan but there are also many other Italian clubs who want him.

‘Mikel has admirers all over the world, in England, Germany, China, Spain and in Italy. Let’s see what happens in the coming weeks.’

Mikel, who has been with Chelsea since 2006, has not even been named on the bench since Conte took charge in west London and with the likes of Nemanja Matic and N’Golo Kante it is unlikely for Nigerian midfielder to change his status in the club.
