Iwobi Backs Barcelona to Beat Inter Milan in UCL Semi-Final

Super Eagles and Fulham midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has tipped Barcelona to beat Inter Milan in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League.

The 28-year-old is having his best season in the Premier League, with 15 goal contributions so far under Fulham manager Marco Silva.

As Arsenal prepare to face Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona get set to take on Inter Milan, Iwobi believes his former club Arsenal will make it to the final. But he admitted the Barcelona vs Inter match will be a tough one.

Speaking on UEFA’s UCL Off Pitch show, the former Everton man said:
“It’s a difficult tie. Inter are strong defensively and Lautaro Martinez is a key player. But I’ll go with Barcelona. Their attack is scary. They’ve got a great chance.”

He praised Barcelona’s exciting playing style and their depth in attack.
“They play very attacking, free-flowing football. With players like Raphinha and Lamine Yamal on the wings, and even Ferran Torres and Dani Olmo coming off the bench, they’re very dangerous going forward. Any defence will struggle to stop them.”

Iwobi also picked Raphinha as his choice for Player of the Tournament and showed support for Arsenal to win the competition.

“I’ll always have a strong connection with Arsenal. They were like home to me. Beating Real Madrid was unbelievable. I was celebrating with them – I’m really happy for them,” he said.

Arsenal will face PSG tonight at the Emirates Stadium, while Barcelona will play against Inter Milan tomorrow at the Olympic Luis Stadium.
