Iwobi Backs Everton To Avoid Relegation

Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi is confident that Everton can avoid relegation from the Premier League.

The Toffees have endured a poor 2022-23 season, battling relegation which resulted in the sacking of Frank Lampard.

Sean Dyche replaced the former Chelsea manager in January and masterminded a stunning 1-0 win over Arsenal.

Everton lost the following game against Liverpool and Iwobi has urged his teammates to show the same spirit against Arsenal in their subsequent games.

“It is a mindset thing. It is having that mentality to go into every game like we did against Arsenal.

“The manager has helped me a lot tactically. And his attention to detail — he doesn’t miss anything.”

Everton will be back in action against Leeds United on Saturday.

Iwobi has scored once and recorded five assists for Everton in the Premier League.
