João Pedro has committed his long-term future to Chelsea after signing a new contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2034.
The Brazilian forward has been rewarded for an impressive first season at the club, during which he scored 20 goals in all competitions and was named Chelsea’s Supporters’ Player of the Season. He also played a key role in the Blues’ Club World Cup triumph, scoring in both the semi-final and final.
The new agreement comes with improved terms and further underlines Chelsea’s plans to build around the 24-year-old. João Pedro will also wear the club’s famous No. 9 shirt this season after previously wearing No. 20.
