Jose Mourinho attacks Antonio Conte over Diego Costa

Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has seemingly taken a dig at Antonio Conte for his treatment of Diego Costa.

Mourinho, who was speaking at his side’s 1-1 draw away to Stoke, has defended the Chinese Super League following reports linking Wayne Rooney with a move away from Old Trafford.

As reported by the Guardian, Mourinho said he wouldn’t want to get in the way of a player’s life.

“I don’t like to be critical with players that are going to China.

“It is their life, it is their organisation of life, it is their organisation of career. The money is huge, the experience can also be very interesting.

“I know some of my colleagues, they think they are more important than they are, they are critical with the lives of other people. I am not this kind of guy. I think everyone is responsible for his own life. That is why I am not critical with anyone.”

Chelsea head coach, Antonio Conte has been very vocal on his thoughts on the Chinese Super League, calling it a ‘danger‘ after Oscar and John Obi Mikel left the club to move to the emerging league.

Costa dominated the headlines last week after being linked with a sensational move to China, where he was offered a reported £30 million per year.

The Brazilian-born striker scored the opening goal for Chelsea on his return to the side against Hull.

The game finished 2-0 as the league leaders moved eight points clear at the top of the Premier League.
