Kenneth Omeruo, Leganes celebrate International Women’s day in a unique way
Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo and his Spanish outfit Leganes joined billions of people to celebrate the International Women’s day; however, in a unique way.
Although the rest of the world celebrated the Women’s yesterday, the Spanish outfit weren’t left out as they did theirs in grandstyle at Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday.
Leganes players including Kenneth Omeruo wore their mother’s names on their Jerseys as they filed out in their 1-0 away loss at Metropolitano.
Unfortunately for Kenneth Omeruo who had ‘Onyeoma’ her mother’s names on his back, he was the offender when referee Antonio Miguel Mateu Lahoz pointed to the spot.
Omeruo tripped Angel Correa in the box and midfielder Saul, one of two half-time changes, tucked away the loose ball after Andriy Lunin blocked his weak spot-kick.
