Ladan Bosso: Flying Eagles will not be satisfied until we play in the final

After guiding Nigeria to a 2-0 win over Italy, Flying Eagles Head Coach Ladan Bosso has revealed he will only be satisfied when the team plays in the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Final.

Goals from Salem Fago and Jude Sunday helped Nigeria fly past Italy into the round of 16 with a game to spare.

In his post match interview, Bosso was modest in victory and admitted there was still work to be done despite the stunning win over the Gli Azzurrini.

Bosso said ” For now, it is still work in progress, we are still in the tournament, we can never be satisfied yet until we play the final.”

The road to satisfaction as yearned for by Ladan Bosso has loads of hurdles on its way. But first, the Flying Eagles must conclude the group stage with a game vs Brazil who spanked Dominican Republic 6-0 on Wednesday night.

“For now, it is certain that we have qualified from our group with 6 points, and those players who have not played in the first two matches,” Bosso added’

” I think we have to give them a chance to showcase themselves, we would play a normal game with Brazil, and I think they are beatable.”

On the tactics that helped Nigeria past Carmine Nunziatta tutored Italians, Bosso revealed the plan was to defend well first while trying to score at the Estadio Malvinas Argentinas on Wednesday May 24.

The Flying Eagles Head Coach continued  ” You have seen it, it’s a good thing that we have orientated our boys on how to get the Italians, and we stuck to our tactics. After the first half, we tried to reinforce the team so that if we could not score, we shouldn’t be able to concede [goals], and eventually, it went for us.

So that is a good thing that the boys are working according to the tactics, and the praise goes to Almighty Allah that we have gotten the victories.” he said.

Nigeria will travel to La Plata where there will face Brazil who accoding to Bosso can be defeated.
