LeBron and Luka make Lakers History
LeBron James and Luka Dončić turned a regular season win into a night that will be remembered in Lakers history.
For just the second time, LeBron and Luka each recorded 25 or more points, 10 or more assists, and at least five rebounds in the same game.
That combination has only been achieved multiple times by one other Lakers duo in franchise history: Jerry West and Elgin Baylor.
Luka finished with 27 points, 12 assists, five rebounds, and five three-pointers, controlling the offense throughout the night.
LeBron added another milestone of his own, passing Robert Parish for the most double-doubles in NBA history by a player aged 40 or older.
The performance showed how well the two stars complemented each other. One controlled the tempo, the other picked his spots, and together they filled the stat sheet in a way that kept the Lakers in command.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker and CJ McCollum chipped in important points, but this was clearly a night driven by the Lakers’ two stars.
