Warriors defeat Clippers as Bucks, Celtics win

LeBron James starred as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Detroit Pistons 110-106 to improve to 11-11 for the season in the NBA.

LeBron James got ejected in a bad-tempered game against the Detroit Pistons only days ago after he was called for a Flagrant 2 offence on Isaiah Stewart, an incident that earned him a one-game suspension and fine. The resulting scuffle saw Stewart himself receive a two-game ban and fine.

LeBron James led the scoring for the Los Angeles Lakers with 33 points, five rebounds and nine assists. Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis contributed 25 and 24 points each for the Lakers.

Golden State Warriors continued their impressive start to the NBA season with a 105-90 win over the Los Angeles Clippers taking their record for the season to 18-2. Steph Curry led the scoring for the Warriors with 33 points, five rebounds and six assists. Paul George tallied 30 points with five rebounds and five assists for the Clippers in the game.

Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Indiana Pacers 118-100 to improve their record for the season to 13-8. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the scoring for the Bucks with 26 points and 13 rebounds. Jrue Holiday contributed 23 points with seven rebounds and nine assists.

Boston Celtics defeated the Toronto Raptors 109-97 to improve to 11-10 for the season in the NBA. Marcus Smart led the scoring for the Celtics with 21 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Al Horford recorded a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Sacramento Kings 128-101 in the absence of the injured Ja Morant. Dillon Brooks led the scoring for the Grizzlies with 21 points, and Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr recorded 18 and 17 points, respectively. ‏
