Leeds 2-1 Forest: Dennis assists, as Awoniyi continues his recovery

Emmanuel Dennis and Taiwo Awoniyi were in action for Nottingham Forest as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Leeds United a Premier League game played at the Elland Road on Tuesday.

Dennis who is now enjoying game time had a shot from close range hit the bar in the early exchanges.

Keen to justify his place in the starting lineup, Dennis assisted the Nottingham Forest goal scored by Orel Mangala.

The visitors took the lead in the 12 minutes with their only shot on target.

Leeds United who were in the bottom three at the start of the game responded with two first-half goals to claim a 2-1 win over fellow bottom side.

Jack Harrison started the move downright pouncing on a rebound after Keylor Navas pushed the ball his part to equalize for Leeds United in the 20th minute.

In the added time of the first half, Luis Sinisterra took on the Forest players on the left side of the pitch before firing a low shot to the bottom corner.

After missing for 87 days through injury, Taiwo Awoniyi played his first game against Wolves over the weekend when he came off the bench in the 85th minute.

On Tuesday, he was introduced in the 56th minute to get more game time as he continues to build back his form before the injury.

Emmanuel Dennis was taken out in the 71st minute as Leeds United hung on to their 2-1 win and move out of the bottom three.
