Mayweather: ‘I’m a living legend, never compare Conor McGregor to me’

Floyd Mayweather Jr flatly dismissed comparisons between him and Conor McGregor by stating “elephants don’t beef with ants.”
McGregor became the first UFC fighter to hold belts in two weight classes simultaneously by beating Eddie Alvarez last weekend, but an unimpressed Mayweather said he was not aware the fight even occurred.
And the legendary 39-year-old boxer dispelled any notion that McGregor is the “Floyd Mayweather of MMA.”
He told TMZ: “I mean if you’re saying he’s the Floyd Mayweather of the MMA, I’m trying to find out. Have you ever made $300 million in one night? Have you ever made $100 million in one night? Have you ever made $70 million in one night?”
Mayweather, surrounded by a group of followers when interviewed in the street, exuded his trademark confidence when downplaying McGregor’s accomplishments.
“I’m a living legend,” Mayweather said. “Never compare Conor McGregor to me. That’s total disrespect. I’m an elephant. Elephants don’t beef with ants. Elephants are so large they don’t even see ants.”
