Milovan Rajevac resigns as Algerian national team manager
The Algerian Football Federation announced that Milovan Rajevac has officially announced his resignation from his job as national team manager.
The Algerians kicked off their World Cup qualification campaign with a 1-1 draw at home against Cameroon, which caused the Algerian media to question Rajevac’s efficacy in his job.
The Algerian Football Federation released a statement claiming that Rajevac resigned from his post as the national team manager after just two games in charge.
Rajevac was appointed as manager last June following Christian Gourcuff’s resignation during the2017 African Cup of Nations qualifications.
The former Ghana coach guided Algeria to a 6-0 win over Lesotho in his first game, before drawing his second game with Cameroon this past weekend.
The Algerian Football Federation will search for a new manager to take over the national team as they are preparing for their World Cup qualifying clash against Nigeria next month and the African Cup of Nations next January.
