Mustapha Habeeb Wins U19 2nd Chief Olusegun Obasanjo National Squash Open

Mustapha Habeeb of Oyo state has won the U19 category of the 2nd Chief Olusegun Obasanjo National Squash Open tournament after a pulsating 3-2 win over Clinton Iguodala of Headwaters Academy.

Habeeb, 17, won 10-12, 11-6, 7-11, 11-9, 11-9 in over 30mins of play in what was an end to end stuff.

The win is the first of Habeeb’s career and he is wishing for more.

“I’m delighted with the win and I believe this is the first of many. It was a tough game as my opponent was up to the task”, Habeeb told sportsration.com

The finals of the PSA tournament took place at the OOPL squash court in Abeokuta.
